1.      Make the Candy Station Magical

Place your candy table or basket on a decorated stand or small hay bale. Wrap it in seasonal fabric, add a few gourds or mums, and maybe a light-up pumpkin. For a bit of a spooky vibe, set up a skeleton holding a tray of candy. You can add twinkle lights to make it look festive at night.

2.     Add Music Special Effects

Play upbeat Halloween music to create an energetic atmosphere. Or play spooky music if your vibe is a little scarier. This flickering torch Bluetooth speaker is one of our favorite accessories for our porch Halloween display.

3.      Add A Projector:

There are different options if you decide to add a projector to your Halloween setup. You can project an image onto the side of your home if you have the space to do so. This works especially well on corner lots or homes with a larger lot so the image can be seen from a distance. Check out THIS option if you want something abstract like the appearance of fog or waves. Check out THIS option if you want a specific Halloween image such as ghosts or pumpkins. They even have holographic rear projection screens that are perfect if you want the image projected in your home’s windows. You can create a spooky vibe that makes it appear as if your house has some happening going on inside.

4.      Add Fog:

If you want an extra magical touch, consider a bubble or fog machine to delight visiting trick-or-treaters. They even have machines that create bubbles filled with fog! When you pop the bubbles, the fog comes out. How fun is that?! That could keep kids entertained for a long time. We had a simple, small bubble machine on our porch last year. Kids absolutely loved it!!

5.      Get the Whole Family Involved

Let your kids help set up decorations, hand out candy, or wear costumes that match your theme. lt's a great way to make memories while spreading joy to your neighbors.

6.      Hand out options in addition to or instead of candy:

Some kids can’t eat sweets but still love to get dressed up and join in on the festivities. There are some awesome non-candy treats you can pass out on Halloween night. Find a list of ideas in our previous blog.

7.      Add light up décor:

Remote operated twinkle lights,  solar spot lights, and porch step solar lights make great additions to porch décor. And it’s also great on Halloween night to help illuminate the walkway when little ones are running around.

8.      Porch pumpkins of course!

A porch pumpkin display is arguably the best decoration for Halloween fun. Pumpkins are great because they fit the vibe if you want a more minimal look. But they also look great paired with a more ornate display.
